Why Is Our Physical Health So Challenging for Us?

Wondering about your experiences and your feedback.

As seen, this is a working hypothesis that we can dig into and figure out solutions to. It might even be wrong. Actual science is about repeatedly questioning, exploring, and often, trial and error.

In my own life, I've noticed a trend: Stress / Worry / Life's Demands constantly pressure me. When I've been on top of those ginormous beasts, I've found it easier to exercise at my personally needed level, plus I seem to eat healthier without really trying. But more often than not, I've NOT been on top of those emotional, mental and financial beasts. They've been my life's constant companions since I was 12.

Also: when I happen to be around super athletic and fit guys, I find it much easier for my mind to adjust to a healthier definition of "normal." I am calling this "peer & social environment." I definitely think we tend to mimic what we see around us. Same would be said in the opposite / unhealthy direction, I believe. (This could also apply to our childhoods, what our families' patterns were, for good or for bad.)

Lastly, it certainly doesn't help me that what's instant, convenient and easy to eat is mostly unhealthy food. Nor that my favorite restaurants often serve huge portions, meaning I have to try and train my brain to believe I don't need nearly that much. Not always easy to do, to say the least. (And when I patronize my favorite restaurants, I sure as heck ain't ordering quinoa and kale, nor do I ever really want to, truth be told.)
