True Self-Confidence Is…
I rarely cross-share between my RunTheBluegrass work and my other ventures. But sometimes, life overlaps.
Our physical health and mental health issues are dramatic across America.
I'm launching a thing called Eric's Circle, starting Monday, for us to tackle these, head-on, together.
These words came to me, this morning.
I've never fit in.
It's always been my #1 challenge because "not fitting in" can make you believe "you don't get the prize."
The prize of that job you really wanted. The mate you are chasing. The school you wanted to get into. That social clique that seems so prestigious.
But maybe you aren't intended to fit in.
Maybe you are made to be unique.
But when our surroundings convince us that uniqueness = "less worth," we face that desolate choice of "altering ourselves to meet the demands of others" or staying true to ourselves in a dark world where nearly no one does.
Options that both look like pending doom.
Which is why we struggle so much.
We've gotten away from operating with the basis that uniqueness = good. We're practically 180º the exact opposite these days. We're consumed with fitting in, not with being true to ourselves.
Which explains why so many of us suffer under depression, anxiety, stresses, worries and all the physical ailments that correlate.
We forsake our true selves because we're convinced that we have to "fit in" in order to "make it" in this life.
But really - and you can just look outside your window at Nature's endless variety of unique creations to see this - we are all supposed to stand out.
Eric's Circle is here to to help you do exactly that. To stand on YOUR own two feet, not anyone else's.
To come to the recognition that who you are - your natural state - can be immensely beautiful once you begin to let it out.
True Self-Confidence is a place where others' opinions of you don't take residence in your brain cells. Where you are able to recognize what Nature created you to be and you love that version of yourself enough to just be it.
